Nervous Doubt

Math Festival is on air! Everyone’s preparing for their contests and such. As well as us, the contestants for the Math Jingle because we are not yet ready. We didn’t use the extra time given to us properly. Yes, we already have our lyrics ready days before but we did not practice well during the first day because we’re thinking that we still have another day to practice. At the end, we crammed. We regret what we had done. We ended up practicing hours before the presentation. During the free time while other contests are held.
Before the contest, we were somewhat ready. We all feel nervous. We told ourselves we’re not there to compete but we’re still hoping to win. We are ready to stage what we’ve practiced but there’s a little doubt. I don’t know what it is but never mind. Before going on stage, I did a sign of the cross. I had some mistakes. Oh dead. After the performance, I felt a little relieved. The results are coming. Oh my. And I was not happy. We’re only second. Maybe because of 4th year’s voicing. It’s awesome! But I should be happy about it so I smiled at everyone.
After the fest, we went at Jestine’s house because she was confined and at the same time, it is her birthday.
On top of it all, it’s great. No classes. Yey!

Dear Mister,

Sometimes, words aren’t enough to prove your love. Riches to words don’t always seem to be, enough. You know what I mean. Riches are riches and you can’t change them unless you let them go. And riches don’t last forever. They end screwed up in the middle of nothing. What I need is love. Why? Because love do last forever, if it is true. What will I do with all your riches if someday they’ll just rot and die? Will I bury them like what I’ll do with your love?  I’m so sorry but I cannot accept your wordy offer of riches. I’d rather go with a poor man who shows love until forever than be with you who will fill my life with money and such but empty of love.

Three in Eleven

“Fieldtrip? Really? Are you even sure?” Those were my thoughts the time that I heard those rumors about the fieldtrip. I felt so excited then because I never experienced a ‘real’ fieldtrip ever in my whole life.
“Who doesn’t have yet?” That’s Mayas when he was distributing the parental consents. And, yes, the fieldtrip wasn’t a rumor anymore! It’s real!
November 11, 2011 which is 11-11-11 is the fieldtrip date! Oh yes! We left Bailen at around 4:30 am because we should be at school by 5:00 am or 5:30 am. After an hour of waiting, we left the school at around 6:30 am. On our way to our first stop, we met our tour guide Kuya/Ate Noel and our driver Kuya Gilbert whom we referred to as our ‘coach captain.’ Afterwards, Kuya/Ate Noel told us the rules and regulations during the trip then told some facts about our healthy-about-everything province. I think he’s so smart. I mean like really smart! (I hope you just know how I exaggerate these words.) He’s like a knows-all kind of person! He also taught us how to greet our teachers in a very nice way like, “Good morning, Ma’am/Sir *insert name here*! God bless you!” And he also taught us a nice way in answering “Now you know!” Know what? It’s “Aha!” With some flirty accent.
I wasn’t feeling well on our trip to our first IT (itinerary) as our tour guide calls it. I ate some snacks, like Wia’s Stick-O which we almost ate the whole pack, but it’s no use. So, I just checked my mp3 and… OMG! Its battery is empty! Fail! So I just slept to get my mind off the not-so-good feeling I have.
At last! We reached our first destination! Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center (SDC) at Mall of Asia (MoA). It took us some time to get inside SDC but it’s worth the wait! It’s so cool inside! All the stations, the facilities and those that were assigned in each facility are so nice! It’s just that, we need more time inside to enjoy each and every facility! Actually, we didn’t have the chance to enjoy the iPlay iLearn station. But on top of it all, it’s fun! Before we had our trip to our next itinerary, we ate lunch in our bus, bus #6, at 10:30 am; and went back to MoA for some time-wasting-but-fun-filled activity, like mall-ing for a few minutes. We just went to the comfort room, comic alley and some other stalls during that spare time. Of course we didn’t forget about taking some pictures.
Next stop: Myth of the Human Body. But wait! There are these bus scenes! We had a sing along trip on our way to our next IT. Janelle, Ryiel, Shane, Ricky, Krisha, Migs, Jaffet, and Mayas sang! I think it’s Janelle and Ryiel’s first time to sing in public. I never heard them sang, well not during that fieldtrip.
It was already 12:30pm when we reached Myth of the Human Body. You know what? It’s so hot to wait in the middle of the crowd. Seriously. Good thing it didn’t take too long for the first batch to finish watching the short film presented by Myth of the Human Body’s staff. When we got in, it’s still hot. Good thing there are some electric fans inside which reached us a bit. The video is cool! But the last part is somewhat shocking. Never mind. After the movie presentation, we went in to explore the ‘museum’ part. The sad thing about it: WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE ANY PICTURES OF THOSE AWESOME WORKS OF ART. So I just enjoyed the I-forgot-how-many storey building full of awesome, real body figures. Good thing we had the chance to take some pictures at the end, it’s like their ‘souvenir photo booth’ area. By the way, all of them were complaining about the smell inside but I didn’t smell anything. Cool!
On our way to Kulturang Pinoy, our last stop before mall-ing again. We had a game in the bus during the trip. In this game we are to pass the ball to the person next to us and if the ball stops at you, you are going to do a dare! And I’m so lucky (sarcasm) that the ball stopped at me. The dare was I should spell my name using my butt. SIMPLE! The ball rolled again, now it stopped at Arisa. The dare was to sing Super Bass by Nicki Minaj, so she did.
At 2:30 pm we’re already at Kulturang Pinoy. It took us, again, some time to get in. By the time we get in, there is like a feast. There’s a band some entertainers and emcees. They got a representative from each year level to give a ‘banat.’ And I just hate it. Our bus is so kill joy. Well, it takes a lot of courage to go in front of a crowd anyway. After the festivity, I thought it’s already over, but no! It’s just the first part. So we went to the next station, there they needed some dancers. For the boys, they just had those that joined the ‘banat’ contest. For the girls, no one wants to join in our batch, so I stood. I don’t have any choice; but we need three. After me, Grace and Tets stood. There, we’re complete.  We went inside the ‘dressing room’ to put on some costumes. After dancing, it’s such a shame! Anyway, I can’t do anything more. It’s already over. So I just have to carry it on. But there’s someone who should be more ashamed than us. Francis! He was caught asleep by the video camera! And that gave everyone loud laughs! We’re so mean. Anyway, we went to the next stop after that. We went to a ‘bahay kubo.’ That house was full of native stuffs like the hat that’s made of yeah. I forgot. Some clay jars and a very native exterior design. Another photo shoot area for us is the Aguinaldo Shrine replicate inside the area. But we just had a short time there then we already went at our next stop where another multimedia presentation was showed. It was a letter made by an old priest. It’s like a letter of an old parent to his child who doesn’t even care about him. It’s heart-warming. Actually, it can even make someone cry. Sadly that was our last stop at Kulturang Pinoy. After that we went to MoA, again!
We reached MoA at 4:00 pm and we went to the comfort room right away. After that, we separated ways. I went to comic alley with Joseph, Jerleth and Marcell. Then we left Joseph. Jerleth and Marcell went to Ace Hardware after going with me to my best friend. Kuya Justin, Maru and I looked for Wia but she is nowhere to be found. So we just stopped after a very long walk. Kuya Justin went home at around 5:00 pm because he needs to be home early. Maru went to the bowling center while I walked alone to find some classmates. Luckily, I found Nica, Ian and Joar. We went to the skating rink to find some classmates but they were busy skating. We had long walks but ended up at the skating rink. After that, we left Ian at the skating rink because he was busy watching those skaters. We went to find Wia, Shane, Janelle, Joseph and Grace at Kenny Rogers. After finding them, Joar and Nica went somewhere I don’t know then I stayed and ate with the five of them. Then Jerleth arrived. She also ate with us. Throughout the meal, Janelle was, as always, monologue-ing. After that we walked around MoA. We went to Power Mac and some other stalls. And we promised to each other that we’ll see each other at college in front of Halo at 7:08 pm where we had a lot of drama. After the long wait there for Janelle, we went to Bread Talk to buy, of course, bread. On our way to Comic Alley, we met Miggy. We, again, toured around MoA. Actually, we planned to go to the other side of the road but it’s already raining a little so we did not pursue the plan. We just went to Comic Alley, which is the real plan. There Miggy treated us, me and Joseph. Then we went to the meeting place. We’re shocked that Janelle, Shane, Wia, Jerleth, and Grace are not yet at the meeting place. We thought they went there before us. Good thing they arrived a little bit early like a few seconds before we went to our bus.
On our way home, I wrote everything that happened in a little piece of paper that had been my check list in writing this. I just made some sightseeing and slept a little during the trip home. It was very tiring but it’s all worth it.
