3D

Everyone who is taking the NCAE (National Career Assessment Examination) always ask the same questions. Like “Why are we taking this?” or “What is this for?” To clear things out, it’s all about future – college and such. It’s about 3Ds – Discover, Decide and Dedicate.

Discover.
Discover your field, like Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering and such, thru this test. I know that the result of this will help you. Because I know that when your score is high on that subject area, you’d probably choose that. Am I right? Now, let’s get going.

Decide.
When the results are already out, and you already know your field, you can now decide on what course you are going to take. Many courses are in one field and I know that your head would go round, and round, and round, in choosing your course. So therefore, use your scores on the other subject areas plus your known skills in making such decision. Make sure that that will be your final course, because the next ‘D’ will be your stepping stone.

Dedicate.
And now that you are already decided with your course, start dedicating yourself to it. What I mean is, give more time and effort to those subjects that, you think, would probably be of big help with your chosen course.

3D is your key. Make your future. Light your way to stardom.

Rainbow Colors

This tree doesn’t resemble me much, but this shows my positive and my negative sides.
This tree is unique because it is the only Eucalyptus species found naturally in the Northern Hemisphere. Just like me, I am unique! Well, everyone is exceptional in their own ways. Its natural distribution spans New Britain, New Guinea, Ceram, Sulawesi and Mindanao, which clearly states that its exceptionality really originated from its native land. My skills and talents are alike with its rareness, it developed at home and enhanced at school, which are my natural habitats.
People usually see this tree for its ornamental purpose but when you look deep inside, you’ll see its purpose. This rainbow colored tree is used in making papers. Yes, I bet you don’t believe me, but it really is born for that purpose. In that case, I have both of my positive and negative sides. I am not that kind of girl for ornamental ‘display.’ I’m not one of those pretty ladies out there. But what I know is, my purpose for living is what’s inside me. I may not be pretty in the eyes, but I can be pretty in the heart.
To tell you the truth, I can’t consider myself as a giving tree. People say that if you give you must be hurt, you must feel it, but when I give, I can’t feel the hurt. I just give what I can, not giving what they need. Like when I or we give clothes, when we’re asked to donate, we give those that are already used; sometimes there are no buttons, no zippers. Do you think that is what we call ‘giving’? Giving what you don’t need any more is like disposing. It’s like treating those recipients, trash cans. See?

Two Days is Not Two Days at All.

September 15, 2011. Everyone’s busy. What keeps these people running? The intramurals fever is coming! Something that everyone had been waiting for a long time, and at last! This awaited day became a blast!
From the opening until the closing, every CavScian’s battery is full of energy to play and cheer for their respective teams. There is Green Chevrolet, Yellow Lamborghini, Blue Porsche and of course the RED FERRARI! Everyone actively participated in this can’t-be-described-by-a-single-word event in our school!
Actually, I really enjoyed our intramurals. Not just because of the joy of the ball games but also on the unity that I am seeing. In every part of the school, you can see different colors of shirts playing together, having fun together. And that’s one thing that’s filling the most blessed parts of my intramurals experience.
Another is that, every year level is united. United to cheer for their players; united to support their candidates and united to be a great team competing as one force field to support their level. You can never see any left out student stranded in their room. No, not one. For I know that everyone would never, ever want to miss this kind of event.
Words aren’t enough to express the joy that I felt during that two-day intramurals. And I know, you too experienced the joy that I had!

A Blah Conversation

M: Hey!
J: Oh hey!
M: Why are you alone down here?
J: I have been thinking of some unsolved things.
M: Like what?
J: Like our friendship.
M: What’s with it?
J: We had been enjoying our life for years now. We are enjoying it… together. But things had changed, and people did as well.  I was thinking of some things that I could do to resolve this. I can’t just take things to be this way.
M: Leave it to God, my dear. Pray. Just do what you can, and God will do the rest.
J: I just hope things would go back to how they used to be. I miss her. We miss her. I hope she misses us too.
M: Everything will be fine. Trust me.
J: Yeah, thanks a lot!
M: You’re welcome. I will go now.
J: Bye!
M: Bye!

Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

A. Recalling
1. "Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove"

    "Love's not Time's fool"
"Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks"
2."O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken."

"...though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come"
"But bears it out even to the edge of doom."

B. Interpretation
1.It means 'love'. Because love, itself, cannot be calculated, it's felt by the heart.

C. Extending
I agree, because everything that he said is right
